Dear Fellow Rotarians,
Many thanks to those who brought clothing for the farm workers to our meeting last week. The people at the EFWA were very appreciative when I brought it to their building in Bellport last Thursday.
For those of you who didn't get a chance to look through your closets last week, please look to see what warm clothes you can donate and bring them to Wednesday's meeting. Winter is a tough time for the farm workers, so whatever you can give will be helpful.
They can use coats, hats, sweaters, gloves, scarves, blankets, etc. for men, women and children.
Thank you,
Mike Muchmore

Subject: Simple Help to the needy farm workers ( Eastern Farm workers Association). Appeal from Mike Muchmore.
Dear Fellow Rotarians,
You may remember the program the Eastern Farm workers Association presented to us at Annabella's several months ago. The EFWA is a social-service organization that helps needy farm workers in Suffolk County.
Their director called me requesting help in getting warm clothes for the farm workers and their families. These are poor people who have very little and are mostly out of work at this time of the year. I hope that in the spirit of Rotary our club members will help.
For tomorrow's meeting and the following week's meeting, I am asking that you please bring in coats, hats, sweaters, gloves, scarves, blankets, etc. for men, women and children. I will collect what is brought in and take it to them.
A few years ago the motto of Rotary was "Lend a Hand." Here's an opportunity to live up to it.
Thank you,
Mike Muchmore
