ROTARY DISTRICT 7250 ANNOUNCES All EXPENSE PAID TRIP TO MANILA , THE PHILIPPINES Rotary Clubs of Brooklyn, Queens and Nassau are seeking people for a month long vocational, cultural and social exchange program in the Philippines . This four-week visit is being completely financed by Rotary's Group Study Exchange Program and will take place in March 2008. The Group Study Exchange is a unique cultural and vocational exchange program for business and professional men and women. The aim of the program is to foster international understanding and friendship. A comment from last years trip to Mexico sums it up. “It was a great success and we learned a lot about Mexico , the Rotary, each other and we met hundreds of wonderful people. Our best experience was a visit to Barrilis Island , an island with hundreds of sea lions.” There is no cost to participants. The Rotary Foundation pays for travel expenses and the hosting Rotary clubs provide housing, room and board. Team members live in the homes of Rotarians and get to know the “real” country. They will visit cultural and historic places of interest and spend time with their vocational counterparts. They will have the opportunity to get to know business and professional people and government officials in social settings. And there will be time for relaxation and fun.
