Besides the 500 festival princesses, there are other women who are going to be involved with the Indianapolis 500. Danica Patrick is being one of them. Danica Patrick retired from driving NASCAR last year and she said she doesn’t regret it, but she does miss it.

This year, Danica will be at the Indy 500, but not as a driver. She will be joining the broadcasting team for this race and she can’t be more excited. She said she went back and reviewed different things about the race and brushed up on what she needs to know. She has a different perspective already, being a former driver. Her team feels that she will add a lot of good insight to the team and can show how versatile she truly is.

Danica Patrick will be a studio analyst on race day and she and Mike Tirico will cover the pre-race and present the post-race coverage as well.  On May 19th, Danica will also be a part of the broadcast team and promote the race across the NBCUniversal platforms.
